Still Going Strong!

Hey Girls! 

30 minutes of exercise this morning.  Started the day with the oatmeal and a protein drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Interestingly, I stayed full until way PAST lunchtime!  Grilled chicken for late lunch, apple for snack and sauteed shrimp for dinner!  Yummo!  Didn't do my eggs yet today, but I will get them in tomorrow instead!  Did those vitamins, and it may be my imagination, but I have been completely full of energy today and totally focused!  Yahoo!  It will be interesting to weigh at the end of the week!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Anyone else?!

First Actual REAL day for me!

Okay, so I'm a little behind, but I kicked it into high gear today and went full steam ahead with our two week plan.  I did the exercise, took the vitamins, added in the foods I was supposed to and also ate a grilled chicken breast for protein.  Holy cow!  I was stuffed the entire day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Anybody else?  Kelly

Our Skinny Chicks Prayer!

Our Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing us to come together and focus as a group on the foods and the bodies that you have given us. Please help us to take good care of our bodies.  We ask your help in carrying through in our commitments to exercise, to eat healthfully, and to get sufficient rest.  Please help us have faith in our ability to attain and maintain physical fitness.  Please guide us to know the best ways to take care of ourselves.  If our motivation slackens, or if we are tempted to procrastinate, please help us to reaffirm our resolve.  In your precious name we pray.

Our first two weeks! Here we go girls! Eating what comes from the earth! That which was originally given to us by Christ!

FIRST TWO WEEKS!

Interval Walking for a minimum of 20 minutes a day!

1- 8oz Whey Protein Drink each day!

2 eggs each day!

Drink 3 liters of water a day!  Feel free to add lemon, oranges, cucumbers, etc. to the water for flavor.

Eat 1 cup of regular oatmeal a day!

Add as many of these veggies as possible each day, with a minimum of 3 cups!
Artichokes, Asparagus, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Eggplant, Garlic, Kale, Mushrooms, Onions, Peppers, Scallions, Summer Squash, Tomatoes, Zucchini, Yellow Wax Beans, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Collard Greens, Cucumbers, Endive, Green Beans, Lettuce, Mustard Greens, Parsley, Radishes, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Turnip Greens

Add as many of these fruits as possible each day, with a minimum of two servings!
Apples (remember, an apple a day keeps the cellulite away), Apricots, Bananas, Berries, Cherries, Citrus Fruits, Kiwi, Guava, Mango, Melon, Papaya, Pear, Peach Pineapple, Plum, Pomegranate, Watermelon.  ***Do not use fruit juice to substitute!

Take a multivitamin supplement each day.  Be certain you are including Fish Oil, Vitamin C, and Amino Acids which include BCAA's!

The next get-together will be on Sunday, October 3rd at 5:00!  Weather permitting, we will meet at Long Run Park off of Shelbyville Road!  If the weather is prohibitive, we will meet at LifePointe Church!

Don't forget about the Susan G. Kohmen Run/Walk on October 9th and the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning!

Welcome to our Ladies' 9 week Thintervention!

Welcome Ladies!

I am so excited about our first meeting tomorrow at noon! We will set up our program, discuss schedules and internet resources, and kick off our 9-week Thintervention! Don't forget to weigh before you come and/or take your measurements! Come with your goals in mind! See you tomorrow!
